Serving as a Volunteer Firefighter or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) / Paramedic can be a demanding, but rewarding experience. Anyone considering joining needs to take into consideration the amount of time that is required for initial training, ongoing training, and responding to calls. The time that is required can be demanding at times, however, the reward of helping others and your community can make it all worthwhile.
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for membership you must meet the following requirements:
- be at least 18 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or GED
- be able to pass a physical examination
- be able to pass a physical agility test
- be able to pass a background investigation
Operational Requirements
To be an active member you must commit to the following requirements:
- Attend Monday/Wednesday night trainings
- Participate in community Public Education events
