Open Burning Regulations

Only natural growth such as leaves, brush, and trees may be burned in open fires.

Find out more about the Open Burning Regulations, and see a summary of the regulations here.
Please call us if you have questions about what and when you may burn.

Smoke detectors are an important part of every Fire Safety plan for your home and family. Many fires every year result in injuries and deaths that could have been prevented if the home had a working smoke detector. In order to ensure that your detector is working, get into the habit of replacing your detector’s batteries when you “Spring forward” and “Fall back” with your clocks. This is a great time also to review your home fire escape plan with your children, or if you don’t have one, create one so that your little ones know how to escape in case of a fire.
